What is the difference between CBD oil and hemp seed oil?
The main difference between Hemp and CBD oil is what part of plant they are derived from. Hemp oil, commonly referred to as hemp seed oil, is made from pressing the seeds of the cannabis plant. Hemp seed oil contains no CBD. CBD oil is extracted from the surface of the flowers. It can also be found within the stalks and stems, but at much lower concentrations.
Can these products get you high?
No, these products are made from our Michigan grown hemp flowers that have state tested at or under the 0.3% amount of THC. Each product has also been tested individually for THC. These Certificates of Analysis (COA) are pictured on each of the product photos, and HI Hemp Company’s state test results of the hemp crop can be found here.
Is it safe for my child to use?
If these cannot get you high, why is the name “HI Hemp Company” and the product names have marijuana references?
The HI Hemp Company was named after the owners and co-founders, the Huffman’s and the Ingrao’s. There is a huge stigma and fear associated with cannabis. It is an all-natural plant that has been used for millennia. Not only does “HI” stand for our families, but it pokes fun at the fact that hemp cannot get you high.
Are you licensed to grow and manufacture CBD hemp?
Can I use these in replacement of a doctor’s prescription?
We recommend following the doctor’s advice. We are not medical professionals, and these products have not been approved by the FDA as medicinal.
I see CBD products being sold in gas stations, what makes your products so different?
Our products are hand grown, hand processed, and hand-made in Michigan. Our CBD oils are not extracted by butane, ethanol, or any other harsh method. We extract our CBD through low heat and carrier oils. Most of the ingredients in our products either comes from our own farms or are purchased locally, giving you the freshest product while supporting local farmers.
Why don’t you sell any CBD food products, or edibles?
No edible food products have been approved for use within the USA. The FDA has not approved any American grown CBD hemp for internal consumption. Any edible products you are seeing are most likely imported from another country.
Why are there CBD food products and edibles on gas station shelves?
The FDA has not approved any American grower or processors to make and sell food related products. However, they have applied none of these extremely strict regulations to our foreign competitors.
